Meet the Team...

Chris  

Chris Armond - Executive Headteacher 

I have worked in Special Education (BESD/SEMH) in Lincolnshire for 22 years. My previous roles include:

  • Head Teacher, Lady Jane Franklin School, Spilsby.
  • Deputy Head,  Sincil Sports College, Lincoln.
  • Assistant Head, Phoenix Academy, Grantham.
  • Senior Teacher, Stubton Hall School.

My current role is Executive Headteacher of Woodlands Academy, Spilsby and Greenfields Academy, Grantham. Both schools are secondary special school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.




Alice   Alice Eyre - Head of School 
 
I achieved Qualified Teacher Status in 2009, and initially worked in a mainstream Secondary School as a Teacher of English. 
 
I have worked at Woodlands Academy (formally Lady Jane Franklin School) since 2013 in the following roles: 
 
- Deputy Headteacher
- Assistant Head
- Director of Learning for Core Faculty
- Teacher of English 
 
My current role is Head of School at Woodlands Academy. 



Phil Vickers  

Phil Vickers - Assistant Head and SENCO 

I have worked as a teacher for nearly 30 years, initially in primary schools in Cumbria and Lincolnshire.

I have been responsible for coordinating several primary subjects and have developed teaching resources for local and national organisations.

Since 2005 I have been a teacher of multiple subjects at Woodlands Academy and now fulfil the role of SENDCo and Assistant Head Teacher. I am also the school’s Designated Teacher for Looked-After Children (LAC).

I received The National Award for SEN Coordination in 2013. 

 



Will Scott SMALL  

Will Scott - Assistant Head (Behaviour & Pastoral) 

I have worked in education since 1994, both in mainstream schools and SEN schools. I have held a number positions including:

  • Teacher of PE/Maths
  • Director of Sport
  • Deputy Headteacher
  • Headteacher 

I am Assistant Head at Woodlands Academy. I enjoy the interaction with the pupils and my specific responsibility of behaviour and pastoral care.


 
Emma Shepherd SMALL  

Emma Shepherd - Home School Liaison Officer & Safeguarding Lead

I have been working in education since 2001. Since then I have worked in various schools across North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire and the West Midlands holding the following roles;

  • Home School Liaison Officer
  • Head of Year
  • Learning Strategies Assistant Co-ordinator
  • Education Welfare Officer
  • Attendance Improvement Co-ordinator and EAL Co-ordinator

I joined Woodlands Academy in September 2018.
